How Do You Celebrate After An Accomplishment?

Hi Reader,

Last week was a dozy! It already feels like I'm 6 months into this year already. I had so much work to do, so many videos to film, coffee chats to join, and a podcast to record. I also had to put the finishing touches on my presentation for Wednesday's webinar.

Speaking of, have you registered for it yet? You've still got some time. Here's the link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1979064741918

Anyway, I digress. As I'm writing this I'm thinking about what I'm going to do on Thursday when the webinar is done and I'm finished my last minute editing on the Business Launch Formula.

When all the work is finished and I can sit back and look at what I've accomplished, what am I going to do to celebrate?

What do you do?

For many years I didn't celebrate at all.

I just marked everything as done on my to-do list and moved on to the next task. But what I noticed is that by not celebrating my wins and major task completions I didn't feel like I'd accomplished anything.

I always felt like I was running to achieve some goal that was always moving away from me.

The more I invest in my business, invest time, energy, and effort, the more I see the benefit of celebrating the work that I've already done.

If you have a new business, you may not be bringing in the amount of income you'd like or pulling the amount of new followers you'd like, so you don't get those emotional boosts like older or more established businesses do.

So, you're going to have to clap for yourself.

I want this to be your reminder to celebrate your wins, celebrate your major task completions, and celebrate the amount of work you're consistently putting into your business. That's how we're all going to stay motivated in these slow growth moments.

If you haven't registered for the webinar on Wednesday, be sure to do so, and share the link with someone you know who's been talking forever about starting their business.

I'll talk to y'all next week!

Warm Regards,

Hi Reader, Happy Monday! I survived yet another weekend of winter weather in North Carolina. This weekend's weather wasn't nearly as bad as they said it would be. Last weekend did get pretty icy, but this weekend we were supposed to get 3 - 6 inches of snow. We didn't. There's probably a dusting out there. But I'm not complaining. I am grateful that we aren't snowed it. Anyway, I spent the week and weekend making some tweaks to the Business Launch Formula, my new program. I soft launched it a...

Ice formed on a tree branch with berries

Hey Reader, Today is actually Thursday. I usually write these newsletters on Friday, but I wanted to get as much done before the ice storm that was set to hit North Carolina this weekend including editing videos, responding to emails, preparing for podcast interviews (that may not happen if I don't have power), shopping for emergency supplies, filling up the car, and checking that I still had those flashlights I bought 5 years ago during the last winter storm. The goal was to be prepared. The...

A picture of spilled milk

Hey Reader, We're only three full weeks into the year and I've already learned a very valuable lesson. It's actually a lesson I've heard many times before, but never fully understood until now. Don't cry over spilled milk. Last Wednesday I hosted my second webinar and while I was nervous in the beginning, I felt really good about it. Everything was prepared and I was all setup and ready to go a full 30 minutes before the start of the webinar. Now, when I hosted my first webinar back in...
